On the farmplace is an old summer kitchen turned magical guesthouse. Available for folks wanting to get away and breathe in the clean vibrant country air. It’s a romantic retreat like no other. A little bit farm, a little bit magic, we call it Farmer & the Naiad.

30 mins from Asheville, 30 from burnsville and 45 from Mount Mitchell, the highest mountain east of the Mississippi.

*This summer-kitchen-turned-guest-house has never been or will be a full time residence for folks in it’s existence, that feels important to say in this age when airbnbs are driving up housing prices.

The Property

Odonata Farm is 10 acres among beautiful rolling hills in the blue ridge mountains. An organic vegetable garden, flower garden, old grizzled apple orchard, and new orchard start are trying to get a foothold in spite of the beloved deer, groundhogs, bunnies, and voles that live around here. A few times of year we host events and welcome our community. Farmer & the Naiad cottage, grounds, and a big old barn that:

In collaboration with our neighbors, Trillium Arts, the barn has a sprung dance floor for dancers in residence that stay in the valley and work on developing their new ideas. The residency season takes place through the spring, summer, and fall. A couple times a year dancers showcase their work. The barn is also used for a few workshops and retreats a couple times a year.
